All good with the power supply

I forgot about my posting here regarding until just a few minutes ago. The thing has been going strong since that posting.

I noticed that Adafruit offers a similar product cheaper now:

I'm thinking about ordering a few of those for other devices. I mentioned ...

Well, I couldn't figure out any way of using the USB port on the computer for just power. Since this post is about power supplies, I'll point to the one I ordered:

http://www.amazon.com/ADAFRUIT-INDUSTRIES-SUPPLY-ADAPTER-1000mA/dp/B00DLSH1W8/

I probably paid a bit more for than I should have, but ...

Perhaps I should've started a new topic for this, but it is power adapter related, so...

Okay, my power adapter died tonight, I doubt anyone is shocked. Anyway, I am curious if the MJ "knows" that it is plugged into a computer. Essentially, is there a way to use the computer's USB port just for ...

greenman, thanks for the prompt reply too. It makes me feel a bit better knowing someone else experienced the dropped calls. I had an old MJ that had some flaws -- the phone never rang (had to set it up to ring speakers) and could not dial with the physical phone unless I used the Tigerjet SDK to ...

The modem is a Motorola SB5101 and the router is Belkin F5D7234-4 V5.

Firmware is up to date on the router. Haven't messed with the modem as it's the cable company's.

Unfortunately, I have no clue what the MAC address is. As I stated above, it doesn't show in the DHCP client list in the router and the security log just show a generic entries:

12/10/2013 10:56:16 sending ACK to 192.168.2.3
12/10/2013 10:56:16 sending OFFER to 192.168.2.3

I know that's the MJP ...

New MJP2014 Occasional noise, dropped calls

Hi all just got the 2014 a few days ago. Twice now I've heard odd noise and then the call drops.

First Time, I went to make a call and had no dial tone, looked at MJP and noticed it had only one blue light on. I unplugged, plugged back in and reset router. Came up, connected and during call I heard ...

Does anyone know anything about this software or this setting? I have to fire this up and modify this setting to dial (only way to get dial tone) using the real phone. I've tried two phones...same thing. Reversing the Red-Green pair did not work. The tech support over at the MJ site is a freaking ...

Yeah it works so long as I fire up the TigerJet SDK demo and reverse the polarity of the TIP/Ring.

Well, you get what I mean, but I'd prefer not to have to toggle this every time I get a call. Is there a permanent fix (hack) for this?

Maybe I should have read more closely. I'll let you know....

Dial tone -- Tiger560 hardware SDK

Installed Tiger560 hardware SDK:

Started up the software...It killed MJ...Switch the setting under Tip/Ring Polarity to reverse...dial tone. Restarted MJ, dial tone works still no ringing from ...

I have a similar, although bit worse issue. Phone doesn't ring, nor has dial tone and can't dial. I really am not concerned with getting those to work. If somehow I could make the ***computer*** ring and use the phone to talk, I'd be happy.

Does anyone know of a hack to make the software show all ...
