This is no longer for sale, but RAM statement is untrue. I am currently using a t5520 from Alpman with no problem. I changed the virtual memory from 256 to 512 and have had zero problems. I is and has been running for over 1 year. It is the only phone we use in our home
not having to buy a useless thin client, priceless!
Not sure why you feel the need to bash thin clients as they can do way more than just run a Magic Jack. Maybe it is because you paid more for your Duo than a Magic Jack and a thin client combined. What ...
I use a t5710 with 512 MB RAM and a 1 GB FLASH. But, it is an 800 MHz Crusoe processor so it is a bit short on processor power since the processor is not native X86 instruction set. SOmething like this t5720 on Ebay with 512/2GB I would think would work perfect.
HP shows all t5000 series use SODIMM (upgradeable) memory, but if Stevereno has first hand knowledge I defer to him. In turn the factory OS for the t5520 is WindowsCE which will not support MagicJack.
it has windows xp on it...and a 6 GB microdrive....
"Magicjack on YOUR Thin Client Is a Waste of Money"
Been running two years on my thin client and performance is flawless. The last upgrade my MJ was transparent and unlike most I got to keep my contacts list.
I "ASSUME" you updated your TC to 512/512 after the MAJOR update in Oct?? MJ consumes more resourses now.. I do not have a TC but "FOR ME" it has worked perfectly for over 2 years now. So yep, it is there for me and MANY others on here..
Its been like this for over a year now....pretty much ...
don't have much time to chat, but you may look at trying to route to a different mj server. I'm not sure how to do it, but there are posts in this forum. I can almost assure you that the prob is not related to the TC, because many of us use the same setup with no issue. A lot of folks will say that ...
I'm confused...I've read on here where people say you really need 512 to run MJ smoothly. Others say you can run it with 256, but it might choke up a little from time to time....
yet, everyone seems to rave about their performance from the Alpman thin clients he sells on here and from what I'm ...
Is there a place to buy a thin client besides ebay?
All the HP ones I see there that have 512/512 specs cost about $125 plus shipping.
People on here talk about buying some for about 60-80...I'm just curious where they bought them at. Did they just get super lucky on ebay, because i check it quite ...
