I have a Brother MFC-465CN all-in-one fax/copy/print/scan machine.
I've spoken to Brother personally, and have been told that by setting my compatibility mode to Basic, it runs the fax at 9600 baud, which I have found in the forums to be a common kps rate where people have indeed gotten their faxes ...
