similar success; installed pci usb expansion card, then plugged mj dongle into that, call quality is almost the same as when I was using the ATA!!!

It's not as fun as messing with the ATA, but @least mj is usable again!

i have a top of the line computer and for some reason the voice quality sometimes was scratchy and etc. and sometimes burning up my resources, later down the road i bought a pci muliple usb "not for magicjack"..fit that into the pc and bam never had a problem since

If VOIP is not blocked there you should be fine.
My buddy went to Switzerland last yr with his laptop, MJ and a headset. Worked great me calling him and him calling me.
Of course your mileage may vary.

- my password was in many dumps and its always the same in different
places of the dump.
- my user name seems NOT to have changed
- proxy server seems not to have changed

I entered the password found in my SIP Dump but did not work

confirmed pw change here. PAP2T displayed the infamous "cannot connect to login server"

Used SIPDump, and mjsip.pl and got it on 3rd dry; 6 dumps specified.

back up for now.

had MJ on linksys ATA for about 2 months, no problem. Last night while on the phone, call got dropped, and phone had no dial tone.

After dumping MJ again, found PW still was the same (allowed MJ to update as it had been on shelf for 2+ months); so that wasn't the prob.
