Thank you, Joe! I removed the extension cable and installed the updated firmware to my Belkin router. It looks like everything is a-ok for the time being. You ROCK! Thank you again! They SHOULD pay you. :)

I have searched this forum for hours and have come to this conclusion: I am clueless when it comes to VoIP technology and how to make it work for me. I really don't want to go back to paying $100 for local phone and dsl. Can someone please give me a step-by-step, low-risk fix for my problem ...
