cancel with Verizon, then get out the calendar. I canceled landline July, 2010. Just received refund check yesterday, Dec. 27, 2010 - 5 months. Had given up on receiving it.

Oh, and no problems with either MJ or NT.

I dropped Verizon land line back in July after using MJ for 8 months. Still waiting for $50 refund now in December. And that was before I got the DUO in September.

Maybe the Poll should be re-worded to ask if NetTalk will hurt MJ sales. Then I would be comfortable in saying, "Yes."

Having MJ going on 11 months now and Nettalk going on two months, the only time I plug in MJ is when I happen to think of it and maybe it needs to be connected every now and then ...

Not to beat a dead horse but have used MJ 10 months and Nettalk 2 months. MJ is relegated to a 'standby' status even though they both work well. I did renew MJ for another year and will probably continue to do so - a second line for $20/yr...hard to beat.

Brent, you may want to look into NetTalk. I use nettalk 24/7 connected to router. No computer connection.
I also have and use MJ whenever computer is on. MJ along with nettalk gives me two outside lines.

Until you receive more ideas on getting MJ going again, I'd say try it on another computer. It may be that your computer crash with XP damaged something in the MJ dongle. But MJ works great on my Win7.

Probably best to do a search in the forums, but from what I remember it is said to NOT connect the new MJ until you contact MJ support and tell them to transfer the number. Probably more to it but that much I recall.

Same here. Using Win XP have to go thru the 'never' routine.

But on my laptop Win7 no amount of trickery will get the screen-saver to work. Normally I use a 24" desktop monitor with the laptop so now I turn the monitor off when not in use. Not convenient but better than nothing, or being 'on' all ...

If you keep your computer on 24/7 for the sake of MJ, then it is really overpriced. If you use it as your desk phone when the computer is on anyway, it is by fat the best deal in town.
Google voice is not a phone service. You cannot use it if you do not have one.
