I decided to finally go ahead and place my purchase for the DUO, since today is the last day for the 50% offer.
The shocker was, after doing already a lot of research, I was not able to fill-in the address information entirely. There are fields for (State/Provice), (Post/Zip Code) which applies to ...

Possible alternative to Magicjack AND netTALK for Canadians

Shoud I decide to go ahead and purchase the DUO via on-line and applying the offer code, at which point one gets to select the phone number for his/her DUO? Would it be at the point of purchase, after receiving it in the mail and while initializing it, or one needs to call them in order to acquire a ...

You are 1,000,000% right about the $5.99/Month for offering Canadian locale numbers. Well, they keep it then... for 71.88+29.99/Year for Canadian numbers vs. 29.99 for US numbers... I'm not that (bleep) desperate to have them as for my voIP provider.

After having used the MJ without its USB dongle for over 3 months, extracting its credentials, then using that on my iPhone along with Siphon apps. So now that this seems to be the thing of the past, at least for the time being for the obvious reason, I’m on the verge of plugging the damn thing back ...

My Final Chapter of my (2) MJs
I've been doing some reading in this great forum.
After retrieving my MJs’ credentials 4 months ago, I've never found the need to plug its USB dongle to any PC. I was happy by using my iPhone for making voIP calls. This worked out great for as long as it lasted. Now that it seems I'm forced to plug ...

Re: Preventing MJ from updating
Once I re-insert the MJ dongle (it's been unpluged for months), is it possible to prevent MJ server from updating it should I choose not to?
Thanks ahead!

Would I be regretting the recent MJ FW update?
It's been 3-month since I activared my 4th GEN MJ Dongle. After retrieving its credential, I've disconnected from the PC and been using Siphon on my iPhone ever since. Now I'm thinking about pluging it back into my PC but have not done so... yet.

Of course, I could dial directly from the MJ and get charged for the international long distance only. But MJ is the one who is offering its customers the option to register an additional telephone number, which is a great idea, meanwhile providing most of its subscriber ...

Dialing 1-305-848-9999 + International Number = 2XLD?
I added $10.00 credit for International calls and also have registered an alternative telephone number (of course a none MJ).
I was sent the following information:
"For placing an international call from another registered number please dial 1-305-848-9999 from that phone number."

I have the 'original' PAP2 but I am not sure if it can used with MJ, if so... how to start? I already had my MJ's credentials.

Caller ID (number only) on the Softphone Display
This is a great forum!
I was wondering... the incoming CID displays correctly on my harware telephone, with name and number. But as for the MJ's softphone display, it displays only the number, without the name.
