Please someone post a working procedure to run as service (or hide) using Windows 7 64 Bit. So far everything I tried does not work.

Let's begin with, can you remove the software from your account and install MJ to a new user account? Once done and MJ is up and running don't logoff as the new ...

More to the point the live person "experts" might not be expert of anything at all. Magic Jack support is farmed at liveperson.com anyone can go there set a price ...

Good for you, looks like you got it running.

Yes, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I can't say that MJ carries spyware but it has been suggested by several people. It would be highly illegal to pull peoples private files off any PC no matter what TOS says. I imagine that it would be more ...

The two drives are really just the USB dongle and are read only. There is no way to change this. But to uninstall the programs; they are inside a hidden folder on your C drive.

First open My Computer, at the top click Tools, Folder Options, click the View tab, then the radio check box "Show hidden ...

I am going to have to disagree. I am still running it as a service. Here are the steps (XP) to do this;

1. Create a new account just for magic jack, mine is called Phone. This account requires a password even something simple will do.

2. Log in to the new account and setup magic jack as normal.

3 ...

How is the upload speed on your service? I normally run 2.5 MBps upload, after all that is where the outgoing packets of your voice is sent. Fortunately I have the use of several cell phones to test my lag time. Even at 2.5 you get about 500ms delay. I hate to blame the ISP or faulty equipment but ...

Ok Ernie, I am back and found the problem. When the Upgrade took effect on my machine, it muted the volume control to the mic on the TigerJet device. Here is how to check that;

Open Control Panel,,
Open Sounds Speech Audio Devices,,
Open Sound and Audio Devices,,
Open Audio Tab at top,,
Under sound ...

I don't know Joe, I think that should read...

benefits:

* More or Less bugs
* Superior call quality if you make a connection
* Works on Windows and Mac but we obviously didn't beta test this
* Easy to use if you can get it working
* and much more hassle than before

I suppose this is the ...

Phone can't be heard outgoing but PC mic works

I have been running Magic Jack for about 11 months now as a background service on my PC. It operated on a split line to a corded phone and a cordless in the kitchen. It has had its share of hiccups, but has performed very well. My bill of $19.95 is due in September and I believe my dongle is not ...
