Just discovered what makes dial tone go away. When iMac goes to sleep the dial tone does too but does not come back until MJ is reinstalled.
Now how to I get MJ to ignore the sleep mode?

Using MJ for over a year. This month switched to an iMac and upgraded with the Mac version. For a while ok but now dial tone is lost on handset. Still can use computer for making calls but frustrated with not having use of handset.
Re-inserting MJ corrects problem for a short while but later loses ...
