I posted on this board before. I used magic jack for about 2 years. Here is my views on the device and service.

First is the jack itself is susceptible to EMI from any other device. It is "not" properly shielded at all. So you will hear static / signals from other close by equipment.

Your Welcome, The only downside to doing the script like this is it unfortunately opens the screen saver more then once.. I think I'll be able to tweak ...

This has never worked for me.
Neither have the power save options (like sleep or turning of hard disks.
The options are enabled, but they do not engage because magicjack prohibits them from engaging.
I don't particularly mind, though. It does this to make sure everything works properly I suppose ...
