You said: 'Well "lucky you", my MJ acts up so much I reboot a couple times a day,'

Forget it. You're right, it's way over my head.

Nothing went over my head. Calm down.

Shouldn't happen. You may be blaming magicjack for other computer problems. Most people run magicjack for weeks and months without interruption.

I know I do.

Get a real ISP provider that uses CABLE and not DSL. DSL is your problem.

Re: MagicJack Not Accepting Renewals

Used MJ for 1 year with no issues. Just tried to renew and got confirmation. Then an email saying my order was cancelled

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for your order of the magicJack on 09/29/2010.

Not sure how you went about trying to renew but I just did it without a hitch and the site tells me I'm ...

Re: Memory Error Issue

When I shutdown or restart Windows 7, I get a "The instruction at 0X..... referenced memory at 0X..... The memory could not be read." My limited knowledge tells me a memory error is not something to be happy about,
Well, not to be too obvious, but every once in a while Windows gets lucky and spews ...

Well, I ordered the 1 gb module for 5 bucks more. Software tends to grow in size exponentially over time.

When I built my first PC clone about 25 years ago, a friend gave me a single 360K double density 5 1/4" floppy boot disk with Dos, Lotus 123, and Wordstar on it.

Oh well. We've come a long ...

How do I install this? Is it just by unplugging the 256MB card and replacing it with the 512MB card?
512MB IDE Flash Module (44-Pin Horizontal)

512 upgrade won't set you back very much:

Can you tell me what you use when you reformat and reinstall XP on the thing.

I got mine from eBay, too. I emailed the seller and asked him what he was going to do with his remaining stock and I think he has quite a few still for sale. I advised him he can no longer advertise them as "Magicjack ready"

His response?

We just sale (sic) them, we don't support them.

Nice ...

Re: No dialpad menu - Using TC HP T5710

You've actually run out of hard disk space and the Magicjack update never completes.

I doubt very much if you'll be able to pare down embedded Windows to the point where you do have enough room for the update to finish installing. A fully installed new version of Magicjack takes about 65 to 75 ...
