Well, the next set of questions that I would pose to you would be:

How long have you been using Windows 7 and how much stuff do you have loaded on to it? Would it be more than ridiculous for you to re-install Windows 7?

The machine that I am running my MagicJack on was pretty new, but I spent ...

I pretty much followed this format from semi-charm:

http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/magic-jack-as-a-service-a-better-way-t1364.html (make sure you are on the first post)

Then I made the Vista/Windows 7 Mods as pointed out by Gospelific which are later in that post, but made the following ...

I have never used sleep modes. With my set-up, I shut my machine down every night.

Since I got it working, it comes up every time and works the whole time the machine is on.

ETA: It works consistently on reboots as well.

Re: Doesn't work on 64 bit

Hello,
I find this program works perfectly 32 bit. I also run Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and after running the program Magic Jack has no dial tone. It returns to normal after pressing "remove Windows Service."
Any ideas?

Hi Gordon,

Did you try this on your 64-bit Windows 7 setup?

THE NEXT STEP FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CAN'T GET IT TO WORK YET

Hello,

Well, I have been trying to get this to work for a long time now and have read many posts and tried many things and could never seem to get it to work.

From another post, I used semicharm's initial steps with the Vista/Windows7 modifications as suggested by Gospelific. Still couldn't get ...

Thank you arcadia2uk.

I went to that link and tried what SuperSport1966 said without success.

After trying several other things, I bumped the User Account Control to "Never Notify" and it worked - that is, along with SuperSport1966's suggestion.

So, I will post my findings over there because that ...

I can't get the service to run...

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and went through the steps below. These are the original steps as posted by semicharm with the Vista/Windows7 mods as suggested by Gospelific.

Everything looks fine, and the service even says that it Started, but the phone line is dead.

If I go to the registry and ...
