Can you use voip my way in Canada. Is there a way to get a Canadian number? I have a obi 110 (using Google voice poorly) and I am not all that happy with magic jack.

If I get a google voice account and a US number would I be able to make outgoing calls with the obi110 from Canada? I know I will have to be in the US to get a Google Voice account set up, or have somebody create one for me from in the US. I rushed into this too soon without researching that I would ...

There is a lot on this subject, but not too much success in solving the problem. Where are you located, Canada or the US? A lot of Canadians are having this problem. Search for 5 minute limit on this forum. Have a chat with support and add your voice to get them to come up with a real solution.

I have MJ running on a separate computer that is only used for MJ. Will setting up the network connection using the DNS servers that MJ suggested affect all of the computers on my network? Also, does opening the ports they suggest also degrade my network security.

OK, I had a chat session too and they gave me the same instructions. I just set the DNS as per your chat (and mine). They also asked me to open up some ports but I have not done this yet. So far I made only one phone call, and it worked fine. My call was for 10 minutes without any problems.

Looks like the sale is over. If you look at the web site at the add to cart, It says for Canadian customers to please call 1800 number. Too bad my MagicJack can not call 1 800 numbers

I thought that I had fixed the problem by reinstalling Magicjack, but the 5 minute limit is back. It is not always exactly 5 minutes, but never less than 5 minutes. Very annoying

I had the problem, but I managed to make a couple of calls over the 5 minute mark. I used the magicjack uninstall program and then reinstalled the magicjack.
