If I get a google voice account and a US number would I be able to make outgoing calls with the obi110 from Canada? I know I will have to be in the US to get a Google Voice account set up, or have somebody create one for me from in the US. I rushed into this too soon without researching that I would ...

OK, I had a chat session too and they gave me the same instructions. I just set the DNS as per your chat (and mine). They also asked me to open up some ports but I have not done this yet. So far I made only one phone call, and it worked fine. My call was for 10 minutes without any problems.

I had the problem, but I managed to make a couple of calls over the 5 minute mark. I used the magicjack uninstall program and then reinstalled the magicjack. I also used cc cleaner and cleaned up the registry after the uninstall. Not sure if I had to but did it anyway. So far so good. My 5 minute ...

Canada now has 911 service
Just for fun, last night I clicked on the 911 button on the Magicjack dialer display and it worked. We now have 911 service in Canada. Or at least I do in Ontario Canada.

Another option to a thin client
I liked the idea of using a thin client for my Magicjack because it is a good idea, but I didn't want to spend any more money. Not a hundred dollars on something that may be beyond me to set up correctly. There are a lot of thin clients out there and I don't want to buy one that doesn't work ...

My phone number was gone for a while yesterday.
When I called home yesterday from work, I got the message "welcome to Magicjack, this number is not assigned....
Not sure how long the number was not working, but it started working again after dinner, so I know it was not working for about five hours. Also, my outgoing messages are not there and ...

How can I save power?
I was thinking about using a thin client for MagicJack in order to save power, but I can not find one that is cheap enough for me at the moment. I do however have a spare computer. How can I set up this computer to use as little power as possible? Once windows is up and running, can the hard drive ...

Interesting, but I am not sure I would keep Bell no matter how much they reduce their bill. I am a little upset that I will have to pay them $7 per month for a dry loop so that I can keep my internet service with Acanac. Bell has been ripping my mother and father in-law off for so many years I have ...

My 8 cents worth
I have had MJ for only a few weeks now and have had no issues with it. With all the negative reviews on the net, I am kind of waiting for the problems to show up and rain on my parade. No problems have shown up and everyone I talk to can't tell that I am not on a regular phone. My kids can even be ...
