Well, the answer was in front of me, just had to look at it a different way.
One way to save the updates is to create 2 batch files, and then schedule the batch files to run as specific times. A system reboot is required for this type of config.

TIP-boot up WITHOUT magicJack plugged in
Delete the old magicJack software from the flash drive, don't uninstall it, just delete the folder that magicJack uses. Save with the EWF. Reboot.
Plug magicJack back in. Wait for it to download the new update. Use the EWF again to save to image.
Should work ...

HP uses the BIOS to license the Xpe image to that model. Reflashing the BIOS will not solve the problem, as the area that the license information is stored in is protected from reflashing. How does one autosave the mj software without using the EWF?
Just curious, as I have seen a few sellers on eBay touting that their configurations automatically save the magicjack software upgrades while retaining the EWF feature protecting the XPe image?
Are they using a script with special software? or what?
