Probably am a bit silly, not a self proclaimed "whiz", but the link I went to was by a google search to "Official magicJack.com" and "Tech Chat is Now Available 24 Hours..." as follows:

Probably the latter.
As soon as I got an acknowledgement that a tech. was with me, it stated his credentials, and gave me a choice asking me what I was willing to pay on a sliding scale. There were two scales and I don't remember exactly what the options were, but something like urgent, midscale ...

Even worse news. Went to support and they wanted to charge me $38 for a response to this problem.

What seemed to be a great mousetrap seems to be headed in the wrong direction to me.
