I've got similar issues - the update on Oct 18 hosed me badly.

Symptoms :
Unintelligible audio at the very startup of a new call and during the call - rendering the MJ useless.

I spent 4 hours with MJ tech support - less than worthless. After countless reinstalls, deinstalls, reconfiguratiions ...
