Works

Hi Kevin, thx. That worked and now the MJ is starts automatically on reboot though I put it in the all users startup area. I do however notice that it seems to be booting up twice. So I see it come up with the Magicjack key logo and than it completes but the dialpad does not come up and than the ...

thx

Nothing in particular. I just chose the version it said would fit on the 512/512. Is that the reason why the MJ does not start upon restart because per other posts I see the same issue when they were using the lower version. Thx

Magic Jack not recognized after reboot

I installed XPe with SP3 on a HP T5720 with 512MB RAM / 512MB Flash. Everything went fine except now when I reboot the computer the MJ does not startup automatically. The HP USB redirector in my startup bar shows that the USB device is not recognized. When I remove the MJ and put it back in ...

Thx

Hi Diggs,

Thx for replying and I do apologize for not being clear in my initial post.

With regards to the last one regarding the RAM drive I meant that I believe there is a Z: which I refer to as a RAMdrive that is created on the TC.

1. Isn't that Z: used as temporary RAM or something?

2. I ...

New T5720 - Looking to verify and check before upgrading

Hi, I just got a T5720 with 512Mb RAM and 512Mb Flash. I am absolutely new to this and am looking to make sure that I have everything right before starting the procedure to reinstall XPe and customize the application. I intend to use it purely for MagicJack with the occassional browsing capability ...

Which TC to get

I see a lot of TC online that say T5000 T5700 1G with 512/256. Are they the same as the 5710 or is there a way to tell the model number.

Some Others also have a AMD processor some say NX1500/512/512 and others say AMD Sempron. Is there any difference?

T5730

Can I use a T5730 instead of a T5710? Is there any difference between the 2. It seems the T5730 has a DC-input? Is it the same for T5710 and if so will than it won't work will it unless the adapter that comes with it converts the DC to AC? Thx

Thx

Hi VaHam,

Thx for the detail response. I have few more questions

1. How do you connect to the machine initially and than after its setup. Do you need to RDP to it or have a monitor, keyboard etc dedicated to it.

2. If I use DOM than I cannot use EWF?

Re: Newbie to Thinclient

Hi VaHam,

Thx for answer.

The Compact Flash Card is the media storage device itself; akin to a SD card but a different size and pin configuration.
The Compact Flash Adapter interfaces to the IDE port in the T5710 and allows you to insert a Compact Flash Card into it; so it adapts the IDE to ...

Newbie to Thinclient

Hi, I have never used a thinclient or WinXPe. I am following the guide by VaHam @ "http://gnbi.com/T5710/" and am a bit confused primarily because of my lack of knowledge on the hardware.

1. What is the difference between a Compact Flash Adaptor and a Compact Flash Card and Microdrive and Dom?

2 ...
