Oh I have no doubts as to their policy, I am just looking for a decent "why." (and "we'll disconnect you if you do" does not satisfy by curiosity) I also don't care if they disconnect me -- my duo is just for testing any way.

If I were them, I would not support BYOD either as that entails a lot of ...

That argument would make some sense if we were reverse engineering the Duo. The ATA or softphone we would be using does not reveal any "proprietary" knowledge of theirs, we just put the credentials in. The SIP protocol and the codec used are not theirs either.

I'm just looking for a way to get google voice to work with properly with it.
They've known about the problem for 5-6 months and still no solution. I doubt anyone is even bothering with it though.

Is there even an advantage to using another device with nettalk? Does it hurt them? The only advantage ...

Strangely, the first time I did this I was given credentials for a number in New Hampshire (603). I was able to make and receive calls with this, but this is not of use to me. I tried a second time and got my correct credentials. Does anyone know what this other ...
