Done all that including Realtek upgrade (thanks for that, too!). No Joy.

Well, powered usb (Belkin because I have it), double checked the set up after loading from scratch but "No Joy". Perhaps I have a defective unit. Will keep trying.

Thanks for getting back. I think the menu selection is correct but recall I did load it without shutting off my malware. Will try it again in a little while. (Have to keep the regular phone up for now!)
