I used Java 6 and installed from the full redistributable (offline) installer. HERE is a link to the full offline copy of JRE 6 update 6. It's about a 15mb download.

You might try what I did and push your ramdisk up to 64mb using the utility in the control panel. I didn't have any issues ...

Did the Java install correctly? You can also install the stock Java 1.6 rev 4 from Sun's website since you have the space for it. Providing your temp files are directed to your USB flash drive or your RAM drive is pushed up enough to handle it.

Also, did you look in the device manager and make ...

I don't see how the boot order could affect the MJ app loading when Windows starts, I do have ATA set to first as it won't boot with the MJ plugged in if USB is first.

In addition to what stroths is saying on the boot thing, humor me try it. It only takes a few minutes and like I said I don't ...

Dave,

I don't know why your auto boot is not working, maybe you clobbered something in all your attempts to do this ant that. I would suggest a clean install of the newest OS (which should bring your 5700 up to SP2) I would also upgrade the bios and remove Sygate, that little beast is not as ...

Re: Help with T5700

I need a bit of help and didn't want to clutter up the thin client stickies with random help requests.
I got a T5700 off ebay for $52 (no power supply, I had one) 198/256. I installed the Trancend 512 flash and installed the latest XPe image from HP. The unit itself is working great, the problem is ...

Mine didn't have a ps2 port either, as far as the MJ covering ports, I just used a short (12") USB extension cable, that way it didn't block any.

So how are you able to apply the vista patch to MJ if you have to have the MJ plugged in first, but the MJ won't stay on long enough for it to even load?

It shows up as installed, with both drive letters, just no blue light and no software running, I run the upgrade, unplug it and plug it back in ...

Every time I've had the missing blue light problem I have to re apply the Vista patch (even though I'm on XP) to get it working again, happened twice already.

And keep it handy once you download, you'll probably need it again. My MJ was dead when I got home tonight, no light, no dialtone. when I unplugged and plugged it back in, it tried to do an update and failed and gave me a message to call tech support. Had to reapply it to get it working again.

One thing a newbie should always do is search the forum for a post with the same question as the one you want to ask, you would have found this post 9 or 10 posts down from yours, with a possible solution.

I have the same issue with mine, was working fine for a week, now this. Also when I first plug it in, the app won't load and I eventually get the splash screen that says you must plug the device into a USB port, I have to unplug and replug to get it to launch, but it doesn't connect now.
