You are correct. It would seem that the first link is no longer valid and that the MagicJack team have removed the actual link that contained the upgrade utility. The second link is still valid however.

I am running 10.5.3 on my mac mini with no problems, except no caller id (on my handset) and no call waiting (second call goes straight to VM). Other than that, I sued it every day with great audio quality.

I have had it working on my macbook for over 3 months with no issues. I did just send it off to the Philippines (I have a house there) with the macbook. I hope it still works the same. I never plugged it into a windows box, applied the MAC fix, and it worked.

Yes, currently the MagicJack will only work with a phone attached, there is no support for headset at this time. Also, there is no phonebook utility for the Macintosh version as of yet.

Plug the MagicJack into a powered USB hub and ignore the disk error message... You can try it without a powered USB hub but I have heard that the ports on the Macbook are under powered.

The MajicJack will only work on an Intel based Macintosh.

Customs will be a concern if you buy it from the US site and it might end up costing you more that what you would pay at the Canadian site.

Is there some reason why you would not just use Magicjack with Mac OS X?

I run XP in Parallels all the time on the iMac to access work with, but the MagicJack is running in the Mac OS X environment. Have had no issues doing this either.

Currently the MagicJack Application is Intel Only and will not run on PPC based Macintosh.
