uninstalling and reinstalling my cd-rom drivers also cleared the static . Now to see how long it will stay static free

I had the static off and on for years and have tried a number of solutions including upper level mj support. It’s not a hardware problem I’m sure here are things I have tried that did not work or help
Many different phones including hard wired
Different usb ports
Reboot computer
Reboot router ...
