I have used MJ only with 3G and an aircard for years. Not perfect - but very adequate.

Good question. Go to MJ home page and go to FAQs. Select the number porting question and you will be guided through the process.

I asked them to do it a week ago and it was completed today.

Now that Verizon 4G is out - has anyone used MJ and a 4G aircard together? If so, let us know what the quality of service is like.

I have used Google Voice with MJ for this feature for years and it works just fine.

I am on my way back to the states after 2 weeks in Japan. MJ and GoogleVoice worked together flawlessly.

I use MJ primarily on a Win 7 machine at home, but when I take it to the lake house, I plug it into a XP machine and it works fine there and also when I return to my home.

I also use a 2 line phone (Panasonic with a cordless 2nd receiver). But, I also have a VoIP line in addition to the MJs. I just forward one of the MJs to the VoIP line and I have only 1 instrument on my desk for all 3 lines.

It will be interesting to see how the new 4G wireless networks from Sprint, ATT and Verizon will affect the MJ market.

msiam - The aircard connects to a Cradlepoint router that connects to a 24 port switch. The router also has WiFi. I just plugged the ATA into the switch and throttled the codecs down. MJ and ATA phone work great.

I would like to thank all of you on this thread. I have learned so much and it was a great springboard to enhance my VoIP knowledge.

I finally gave up on MJ for porting and went with VoipVoip.com. Free porting of my telephone number and I can forward to Googlevoice which will forward to my MJ # among others. I will save over $80 a month doing it this way.

Thanks Valiant. I think I will upgrade from Vista to RC7 on one of my computers this weekend. I will keep the forum informed as to what happens with the MJ.

When I lost my ability to log into MJ after upgrading, they gave me an authorization code and are sending me a new one. I never had any problems until the upgrade. I just hope that every upgrade in the future doesn't cause me problems like this one did.
