I know this is several months old, but will chime in anyway.
Can't comment on the feasibility of upgrade discussed at that link, but the guy seems to be talking about upgrading the flash module (which he calls memory for some reason). That may well be a useful upgrade generally, but your error ...

solution just the opposite for me
Ever since switching to MJ+ 2014, running through a PC-router-modem setup, the touch tone phone tree responses - from my cordless handset - have not been working. Every time I make a call, I have to sit at a PC, log onto the MJ server via TightVNC, and enter the phone tree responses there on the ...

Hi Guys,
Just returned from vacation and read through your posts. The mini PCIe slot on the underside is where HP put the wireless card. I don't know if it will run a SATA drive. There is also one part number that always appears to have the PCIe connector, even if not OEM wifi. The other P/Ns don't ...

I don't have that information. Probably easier to just buy the riser if you can find it, or the whole expansion module.
I'm away from home at the moment, but I'll take a closer look at the risers when I'm back. Perhaps some deduction of the pin locations can be made.
Or, just buy the one I have on ...

When I've had call quality issues related to my hardware, it's always been stuttering - holes in the stream. In 2011 when I started with MJ, the sub-$75 thin clients were VIA C3 or AMD Geode CPUs at sub-1GHz, often with 512MB or less flash and 512MB or less RAM, and the MJ dongles and software were ...

This got me going, then I see HP did this already
I remember reading this thread a few months back, and being interested in this mod. I even bought a couple of X2 CPUs to try. Since then I've found out a couple of things - adding the second surface mount RAM connector would be about impossible for DIY, even if you could find it, and besides, it's ...

My recollection was a little off. The VIA Apollo PL133 is the chipset on the C3 boards in the 9450/9455. I don't find much info on the VIA VT133 but it appears to be contemporary with the C3 board in those two Wyse units. They use PC133 SDRAM. The V90 had DDR RAM, and a newer chipset. There was a C3 ...

I don't recall the mobo model in the 9450/9455 but I have a couple here and I can check if you want to take a look at yours, before diving into the Wyse image. I found quite a bit of information about the board when I looked into it. It's the first EPIA mobo, I think, I just don't recall the number ...

Need your help if possible:
Which image would I need to download from Wyse for a VIA Ezra (C3) 800MHz processor (Maxterm 8300 TC)?
My MJ runs well on a Neoware CA10 which has the VIA C3 Nehemiah 800MHz processor and 512Mb Flash (DOM) and 512Mb RAM. The only difference between the Maxspeed 8300 and ...

It's not a big deal to get MJ to run on a thin client, assuming the unit is already flashed with a working XPe OS. You don't need someone else to configure or set it up for you. It takes about 5 minutes to configure the BIOS and OS, using the guidance available on this site. I've only used the Wyse ...

Re: magic jack hangs up
It might work with your MJ without having to re-image your unit. I own 2 of those TC's and trust me it's more trouble than it's worth to try to re-image them. No matter what you do, they won't boot from a USB stick. Both of my WYSE 9450xe worked fine with my MJ after simply adding the USB drivers ...

Re: Wyse Winterm WT9450XE TC Image File
Hello,
Does anyone have a link to a XPe image file for a Wyse Winterm WT9450XE TC that I can load on a 6G Microdrive so that Magicjack will work properly?
It would have to have all the proper drivers embedded.
Thank You You can download the Wyse images from their website. If you don't use their ...

Odd difference, all the Wyse TCs I've seen have the COA. HP support also apparently doesn't know there's no COA, not that that surprises me. It's not on the flash either, just an Apacer sticker.

The flash is a small pcb about 1" x 2" with a 44 pin laptop-sized IDE connector on one side. The IDE slot for the flash is right at the end of the PCI expansion slot, in the corner of the motherboard. You can get a replacement off eBay, TigerDirect, or other places for around $25 or so, if yours is ...

Is anyone using MJ on Wyse 9150SE or S90?
I didn't have any luck getting a response to my first post. Is anyone successfully using MJ on the 9150 or S90 these days - is it possible the current MJ releases are more demanding?

MJ overloads Wyse 9150 and S90, but OK on 941GXL
I've read the threads here regarding use of MJ on the Wyse 9150SE, and seen it and the S90 listed on eBay for MJ use, but I'm not getting them to work usably. I've got one of each (they are the same CPU from what I've read), also a Wyse 941GXL. I can get MJ to run fine on the 941GXL, CPU load during ...
