I'm kind of surprised that there is no thread of CallCentric as an alternative in this section. I've seen it mentioned in some threads but not much detail. It is pretty good price as an actual VOIP phone company, see:

Run Regedit For MJSettings
1) Start
2) Run
3) Regedit
4) Find "Talk4Free"
5) Expand "USB Softphone"
6) Expand "Options"
7) Click SIP 2.0
Of course I have no idea why I need to look at settings. MJ doesn't let me change anything. I tried to change the Ringer count to 5. MJ didn't like it and somehow automatically changed it ...

Oops - Further Research Does Show a Problem
Even though I haven't personally experienced problems, I did further research on the issues. It seems that MJ isn't the only provider using these tactics, and the reason is terminating fees, see:

I don't know how you can dismiss the router blocking calls. By definition, it is a firewall, and that's what firewalls do, block traffic.

works with ports 5060 and 5070 udp should you open both ports
