Magicjack to charge for 911 service

If you still have your outside phone line coming into your house from your previous provider, your 911 service may still work. Mine does. You can also use an old cell phone that no longer is connected with a provider. I will be using my cell phone.

@nailgunner, Thanks, your link http://my.magicjack.com/call-forwarding.html worked for me, I have 3 MJ's and one of them I keep transferred all the time. I am sure it is just a matter of time before Dan starts charging for call forwarding.

@greenman, That is helpful info, but it only shows the calls dialed and received if you have the MJ plugged into the computer.

The call log will only be displayed if you are plugged into a computer. If you are plugged into the router, you have to use your phone system features.

They will not let you transfer years from a regular MJ to a MJ+, and I asked them if you could transfer years from a regular MJ to another regular MJ, and they said "no, that it could only be transferred to an unregistered product". This is a quote from their FAQ about what you are asking "To ...

I bought a plus in October 2011 when they came out, and like a lot of others it worked fine until February, and then started dropping calls.
