You should be able to leave DHCP on and do the manual assignments via the router and not the individual clients. Even though the DHCP is on, as long as you assign the clients an IP address linked to their MAC address in the router's settings, it will give out those "Perferred" IP addresses when the ...

Re: Static IP Address

What is you assign a one address range for DHCP and leave DHCP on. That way MJ+ would always have the same address. I want a static address too so I can put MJ+ on the DMZ. Did MJ support give you any idea when static IP would work?

how are you trying to assign a Static IP? I have my MJ+ assigned to a Static IP via my router's firmware settings. I also got it setup to use the MAC address to give it highest priority via QoS.

The Static IP is assigned in my internal network, not a public IP address.

I'm trying to assign it ...

Static IP Assignment

Got my new MJ+, registration went smoothly but I've been trying to assign a Static IP for the past few nites, but no dice. I just did a chat with them and they said that MJ+ will only work via DHCP right now and that they're working on getting the static IP feature to work. Has anyone else gotten ...
