Ditto......mine is static both ways can barely hear. I had a thread on this in the tech support forum and no answers. Anyone figure this out? I have a 2wire 3801HGV router.

I just found a comment on another site that says there is no need to port forward if it is plugged into the wall outlet?? In other words it is not going through the computer.....is this correct?

I have static and sometimes bad echoes during calls.........how do I fix that? I have a Uverse router and was searching online trying to figure out how to open more ports if that helps. I never found the answer to that but I moved the phone base to another room and still the same.
