Linksys firmware upgrade fixes this!
I also had the same error 23 problem with a Linksys wrt54gl router. I followed the advice posted above/below and upgraded my firmware from 4.30.12 to 4.30.15 by downloading the new firmware from Cisco and voila! the problem was fixed. Thanks so much for the tip!
