There are a number of things that could be causing that. Your best bet is to do a search and start trying things one at a time. If you give a little more info someone may be able to help you. Once the port is done At&t will also cancel all your other services associated with uverse. If you want to keep uverse internet and tv then it may get a little ugly. If you plan on doing this, let me know. I'll tell you what I had to do to get my service back on.

All your info stays with the mj. Nobody will be able to register it as a new product. I don't know if there's a way to default it back to factory, but if there is a way, someone on this forum probably would've responded by now.

Is it going to mj voicemail? If so, after how many rings? Make sure the answering machine isn't set for custom ringing. Also, did you disconnect the original landline from the mix either at the side of the house or in the basement?

Yeah. be careful. They've been known to charge multiple times for the same service. Of course, They'll tell you they didn't actually charge your card yet even though you can see the charges.

Sure. As long as you are running the Plus in your router you can stop it from running when it is not in your USB port.
If you think about it, since your PC doesnt even need to be on when the Plus is in your router, technically it is stopped anyway :)

It's been said by users and mj that it can't be done. Once you select the number you're stuck with it for the life of the phone. Check this thread out. They've seemed to be able to bypass this. Good luck!!

I vote keep it all day long. I've had only 2 minor issues. One issue was fixed in a matter of seconds and the other was fixed by the engineering group within a couple days. Too be honest I forget that I'm even using the magic jack. Works just as good as my landline did(knock on wood).

Sounds like you're doing everything right. At&t ports usually flow through without issue. From what I've heard, you can put any provider in the field and mj will figure it out. If you just want to push it through then try another random provider and see what happens.

Faxing is hit or miss. You'll have to do a few test faxes and see if they go through. Setting the baud rate lower usually helps but isn't a guarantee.
