Thanks to all for the tips; I was able to fix the problems of beeps and short screeches in the MJ+ system I just set up in my house as a trial.
I had MJ+ plugged into a power strip with everything else. I unplugged it and moved it into its own outlet. I removed the flat network cable they supplied ...
