First I have to thank you for understanding the problem and trying to help me thus far.

Well the USB powered strip with MJ , does freeze the computer in the similar manner as without the USB powered strip.
Now whatever I am doing is the with a USB powered strip and MJ plugged in it ...

Here are steps: -

1. Tried MJ very first time, nothing happened for a long time. When I tried to click around computer froze.
2. Got MJ magicfix run on my computer while MJ was plugged-in, magicfix got stuck on configuration check and computer froze.
The only way I could work on my computer ...

I have done all , got a powered USB strip and all the program un-installed.
Somehow Mr MagicJack does not work with Gateway......

Ok, so many people have told me that my comp cannot power up the USB. In fact I did not agree. But I did give it a shot as so many people kept telling me. In any case, my computer was unable to start the software even with the power strip.

I see all the things , blue light etc etc

I don't think it can be done , given the program that they have.

I would be more comfortable to just have a gadget attached to the Internet and drop the whole computer, maybe will cost more but I am sure people would be interested

I can try get a powered USB strip. But I don't get this kind of problem with any other USB device.
Want to make sure , I don't waste my money on the strip

I have only one computer that's not working with magicjack and not all three.
BTW - You will be shocked and amazed that the two that are working have Nero on them. Whereas the third one does not have
Nero. I have done everything with the third , its a Gateway Laptop.

I think I got you all getting in the wrong direction.
The solution of power supply was given by the live support as they got frustrated spending time to debug.
I am not sure , how could power in the USB would be an issue.
I say that as I have used so many devices with this laptop and none have ...

Working env
Windows XP SP2 on three Computer.

I have been able to run MJ on two computers and the third one that I need the most is unable to initialize MJ.
When I plug it in , I see the light in MJ and my computer keeps busy , can't do much.
Ran magicfix and keep sitting on the checking ...
