I've got Alltel and had the same issue when I changed my MJ number. It took a week or so but it works fine now.

I got my number changed to the 228 area code a few weeks ago. Had an issue when I first changed it due to my alltel cell phone telling me it was not a working number. But after a couple of weeks its all good now.

I have a problem due to the fact they do not offer my area code and I will not have friends and family being charged LD to call me.




I just have my friends call me, let it ring one or two times and then hang up. I call them right back. They have never been charged LD and my call is FREE.....And ...

It's not the plan but the 5 yr warranty. Seems the folks on live chat know nothing about a 5 year warranty. The only warranty magicjack has is in the 30 day free trial. I have emailed Dan but its been over a week and have not received a response. And, if it breaks, you will have to buy another unit ...

A lot of good a screen shot will do me...tech doesn't have a clue. They keep trying to sell me the 5 yr plan again.

Back in April of 2008 I signed up for the 5 year platinum preferred plan.
It states a 5 year warranty. apparently magicjack is not honoring this.
Has anybody else purchased this and tried to use the warranty?

I'm having the same problem since the upgrade. Call vmail, beeps and then returns to dial tone. Hope they are working on this. I tried the *and vmail number and got the YMAX test call number...
