I use voip.ms with a toll-free number and forward it to my magicjack number
$1.49/month + 2.9 cents/min
or they have canadian numbers for most areas
$1.99/month + 1.49 cents/min
this is for incoming only, of course, outgoing is still thru mj
I deposited $25 which will cover me for ???
still have $23 ...

one other way to get mj messaging to work: om pap2 anyways:

from line1 , you can forward your calls to line2

so.. set up mj on line2
get a free number from ipkall, free acount from freeworld
set up freeworld on line1

only give out your ipkall number

use only line2, your outgoing calls will go ...

a work in progress:

modified a script to turn on/off the message waiting status on my pap2

this is a perl script, insert "your" info where appropriate

paste it to a file, say "mwi.pl"

I came across this command line tool, no need to re-invent the wheel!
