In some cases you have to plug the magic jack directly into the PC Manually to update the firmware.
MJ Live Chat Rep gave me a link to download a setup file.

Just a note to anyone that uses a cordless phone.
I own a VTECH v6.0 Digital Cordless Phone.
If you get static when dialing out, just unplug it for a few seconds.
Plug it back in to reboot it.
