I'm having the exact same issue: random touchtone tones heard by my callers.
I've been with MJ+ for several years now, without this issue.

It's been close to two years now that I bought the MJ+, and it has never worked correctly on my Linksys Router, nor directly connected to my cable modem either when used alone. The blue light has never flashed, and it does get quite warm but not hot.
