With that kind of marginal upload, you are bound to have significant issues with ANY VOIP service.

My MagicJack only uses 80 - 90 Kbps downstream and 80 - 90 Kbps upstream while on a call. 0.5 Mbps upstream is more than five times what he needs. He should be fine assuming he's not doing much else ...

Where did you get that information? My router bandwidth monitor shows 80 - 90 Kbps downstream and 80 - 90 Kbps upstream while on a call.

I can also report some limited success. I started a live help chat from my.magicjack.com and the support rep did something on my account to make DTMF "stable". She immediately knew what I was talking about when I mentioned DTMF problems. After restarting everything I'm getting repeated first digits ...

If it's the same problem that I reported in a couple of posts, it works fine plugged into the PC but not directly to the router. The tone for the first digit in a sequence contains a brief stutter so that the automated system "hears" the digit twice and 1234 becomes 11234. This makes it completely ...

Similar problem here, except that most of the number presses are accepted. The issue is that the first digit is always repeated, so when I enter 1234 the system hears 11234, making it impossible to enter a conference ID. It's only a problem when the MagicJack Plus is connected directly to the router.

Automated phone system misinterprets number presses

I just started trying out a MagicJack Plus connected directly to a router. It works okay overall but I'm having trouble dialing into the automated conferencing system at work. The problem is that the first digit always gets repeated. For example, when I enter the conference ID 123456 it thinks I ...
