i have managed to fit in the gt7725 2x 4GB RAM DDR2 800MHz works fine :)
and a TURION X2 ULTRA ZM-87 2.4 GHz works fine too :)

i have put the asus card in and it seams to work.
boots normally ... when i install an OS will wright again how it works with the card.

i think that the problem is in bios because the bios do not full recognize the 4GB in bios i can see onle 3,5 ...
and when the bios didn't see 4GB then how could it transmit the info about 4GB in the os ...

in the windows 8.1 x64 is only restart or shutdown option
it could be an idea with acpi ...
but still didn't know why 4GB works with linux and windows not ...
do you think its acpi that could do the problem with ram in windows

i tried this msconfig option to start with 2GB works normally with 1 stick
but with 2 stick still the same (restart after ~10 sec) tested with win 8.1

tried to install ati drivers (stock drivers was a standard windows driver)
and it didn't work either (with 4GB RAM)
i looked in the event log seems no problem or event log not updated with the second RAM

i wroted some posts earlier that with 1 stick (or 3GB RAM) all systems runs ok ...
tried to install ati drivers (stock drivers was a standard windows driver)

it was a 8.1 Enterprise edition
safe boot didn't work too ...

i have unsoldered the capacitor from my broken T5730 (from the 1 socket) but the 4k7 resistors comes from an other place from the motherboard from the broken tc ... so i think its posible that the value is false ...

my bios is in a socket too (in currently working tc) but in the broken one its ...

3GB works no problem, 1,5 GB no problem too (2+1)(1+0,5)
my 2x2GB are identical but i dont have any other 2GB to try

i have installed windows 8.1 64bit with 3GB RAM
after install i gave there 4GB and the tk restarts about 10 seconds after starting loading windows
also the same like windows 7 64bit
it looks like its bios ...
but what can we do with bios limits ... ?

hi gold test runned about 22hours no errors
i put 2 x 2GB in. The bios shows:

i tried to install win7 64bit - blue screen that the bios is not fully acpi compliant

i have looked one more time on all soldering pins etc
i found 1 bridge on the socket
now it sems to work normally with 1 and 2 socket ... :)
in 1 i have 512 and 2 1gb currently running gold memory testing tools
after will try 2x2GB

with the original ram in socket 1 and with empty socket 2 the tk starts up normally.
but in other configuration with second socket ram inserted did not.
will purchase some resistor and caps when they come i will see.
tommorow holiday 1 week so i will not be present ...

i have looked on the pins and with multimeter tested all 200 connections to their pads and to neighbor. i have tested a ram module in it the keyboard blinks like normal but no screen ... in first socket ram attached and in second. when i took the 1 the same, and only with the second the same too ...

the pins are good only the stabilizing thing is not good


think we must solder some capacitors to...
maybe someone of you could search a schematic for the motherboard ?

i mesed up my 1 pcs but the second thin client and ram pcs is soldered
it took many hours :P but soldering this shit wasn't easy. the socket do not fit 100 % (looks little bit shit, but tested all connections ...)

i have not a single 4GB RAM sorry ...

i have read the polish forum (i can polish :P)

they actually installed 2x 2GB RAM but they write that in 32bit system goes only 3,5 GB (its normally) and installation of a 64bit system ends with blue screen. they write that the first socket supports a 2GB RAM ...

i'm building a small pc with many options and diferent connection types (usb, rs232, serial, lan, etc) a smart card reader will fit to it :) and hdd 40GB a CF 32GB with 800x speed index and a graphics card
