Well higher (5.2a) amped power supply has stopped my random cut out which is a win, not trying to find the best bang for buck pci based graphics card, found a GeForce 8400gs 512mb card at a decent price, need to keep hunting though, the better card for cheaper the better xD

Dual Core'd

Got my Turion 64 x2 TL-60 2GHz installed and running, stuck a small fan onto the cooler powering it from USB (I'm too lazy to solder :roll: ) Processor seems to idle at 32.3 Degrees C

I can now stream youtube videos without stuttering Quake Live won't run though so I just need to find me a PCI ...

SUCCESS!

I've got the process started - regened all my key but in the end I think the service refused to start due to the following line in etc/config/openvpn

option dh /etc/openvpn/dh2048.pem


I left it as dh512.pem but built a 2048 key ^_^

so - just need to set up my port forwarding then ...

right, so on my new ISP now - I do still have the windows VPN client setup and did the portforwarding but the default 1194 port still appears to be closed :/

At the moment I rebuilding all the keys as per the solution post, Once done I'll re-configure the my firewall and add my custom service port ...

well, another update from me - still no luck getting the service to start :/
but I'm changing ISP's in a couple of weeks and as far as I can tell they don't block the default VPN ports.

So I'll put the configs as "default" from previous posts

So, I've now just installed luci-app-openvpn, logged onto the HooToo via web browser and LuCI GUI.

I now get a "Services" menu and OpenVPN under that - turns out I can't start the OpenVPN service and the service isn't starting so that's why my chosen port isn't open / responding boo

still no reply on my chosen port, I know with another program that I've recently set up that another port I have gotten to work (but that was to my windows PC) so it could be my isp still blocking my original chosen port..

I may also give installing the luci open vpn app gui see if that gives me ...

HooToo was still DHCPing but the WAN port setting too presidence over the LAN port so I ended up with 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x ips (depending on which config I used) so no reset needed :D

you know what i need to do.. set myself up a router that'll access the internet via a proxy so I can do stuff my my hootoo with out having to remote home to do it

I wonder if my DD-WRT router can do that - I'll have to find the power supply for it at least then when i screw up I can stright away ...

This windows App sounds like the Easy FTP Pro App I have for the iOS
It does much of the same thing with file transfers, and he'll be adding the video/audio player, and photo-viewer functions to it for viewing directly from the DLNA file server.

especialy if i'm refering to it a mrs luci hootoo...

The reset button threw everything to a blank OpenWRT image as did the LuCi GUI reset..

so IP went to the default 192.168.1.1 and as a DHCP server

So I had to change the IP / Gateway and DNS to my desired via SSH (using puTTy) after connecting ...

Maybe rest-up first, then read the other links, after you're rested, about the usage of eth0.1 and how they solved using it correctly.

LuCi looks like she's still installed (its a girls name after all :p ) but seemingly not configured proerly :/

I get a "LuCi - Lua Configuration Interface" which then attempts to go to "192.168.0.222/cgi-bin/luci" which gives the message unable to connect

Could it be that the reset also put the paths of the packages back to its default too?
Maybe that's why it's not finding anything now.

Are the original OpenWRT servers back up, and in the same paths they were before...? ... Or has the mirror paths been lost by the LuCI reset command?

Did the OpenWRT servers come back up so you'd be able to get the needed extra packages for OpenVPN and the Tunnel additions, as well as LuCI?

Their servers going down has affected everyone using OpenWRT, and many posts on the OpenWRT forum ...
