As I noted in my first post, all had been working ...harmoniously ...... and I will add now, for a few months... With everything plugged in etc. Then it stopped.
I think I will contact the folks at MJ....

Thanks for your reply. Subsequent to your suggestion, I did try plugging it into my USB Powered hub ... but the hub is 1.0 and the MJ sat there and no blue light.
So I tried putting it into the #1 USB 2.0 on the MM and no blue light and after a few seconds the MM shut down. Again, thankfully, no ...

MJ kills minimac
my MJ had been working acceptably.. Now, however, if it is plugged into a USB when I start my minimac, the computer won't start. When I start my mini and then plub in the MJ the mac dies. Doesn't appear to be any damage to the Mac because it will then start w/o the MJ.

voice breaks up completely
I guess you could use 'cracking' or 'crackling' but really happens for me is that the voice of the person I am talking with breaks up completely so you only hear various syllables. It happens consistently. I've had to hang up and call with my cell or regular land line phone just to be able to tell ...
