That worked for about thress days or so and then you get 401 Unauth'ed again. Plug in the dongle, dump the new pwd, then retry and no worky anymore like before. They changed something that needs to be hacked it seems.

Yep, after the first update from the other day and updating MJMD5 it was working but now it quit again with 401 Unauth'ed. Could it be the user-agent line? Didn't MJMD5 use MagicJack/ 1.80.484a (SJ Labs) Does it need to be recompiled with the latest which would be: User-Agent: MagicJack/ 2.0.562d ...

I dumped mine after the update and like everyone else, my username changed from 01 at the end to 02 and the password changed to another 20 char. Updated my pbx with the username and MJMD5 with the new pwd and I'm golden. Hope it keeps working as long as last time around.

Thanks everyone for posting ...

I'll put up the first $10 via PalPal for the first person(s) to get an "accepted" working ATA solution. Probably we should start a Donate! thread. We could possibly use ChipIn if everyone ...

My guess would be that their Anti-ATA list is static and does not check upon each login. Must be that they are running a scan of their Asterisk logs every so often and any registered non MJ user-agents get added to the Anti-ATA list. Next step is giving me a headache.

softjoys is essentially SJ Labs. (see below.)

MJ's parent company, YMAX, owns SJ Labs, "the softphone factory". They make SJPhone rebranded as MagicJack or a lot of the code is based off SJPhone. There has already been some mention about it. Another link too. I think Vonage does something similar ...
