I had made some changes on my TC a while ago don't exactly remember what, but after i rebooted the TC it now requires me to Log in as Administrator, which works.

my question is. is there a way to change it so that it doesn't ask for user and password b4 it fully starts.

what are you trying to do with the MJ and DirectTv? i thought directtv needs phone line to check location etc?

i do have my direct tv also hooked to my router which assigned it an ip for on demand stuff etc.

My MJ is hooked up to the latest DirectTV HD DVR receiver no issues here almost a year. i didnt really had to nothing special i just split the out port from the MJ and ran a phone cord to the receiver and another cord to the phone.

btw, the MJ i have is an older version dunno if that really makes ...

take it back and get your $$ some of those features are overrated, i have a panasonic dect 6.0 as well talking caller i.d is annoying and cant even pronounce names correctly its off on my phone, so call caller block still lets your phone ring at least once.

many people have used MJ for at least 2 years and they are happy, i don't see why MJ wont be here another 5.

i have used MJ almost 2 yrs myself, been very satisfied and i do have the 5 yr plan. even if MJ goes bust worst case scenario i have invested MJ 39.95+6 plus shipping + 59.95 five yr plan ...

dunno what more details, my MJ is on a TC 5710, i really don't do nothing special to it to make it work, have called UK, France, Rwanda, Gambia and all kinds of places without an issue, i guess MJ is a hit and miss for some people.

i dont know anyone who has a laptop that can test it am gonna see if i can return it or exchange it for something else if not its money down the drain.

i bought two of these RAMS for my T5700's and when i put them in my tc wont even boot, what am i doing wrong or are these rams the wrong kinds?

well i have a thin client i decided to take out the do not upgrade from the host file which i did couple months ago cuz of no audio issues.

to my suprise MJ upgraded and no issues about no audio devices and the error 4 is gooooooooooooooone.


now am able to make calls and receive calls .

click on the menu tab and goto volume headset control make sure your on telephone and not on headset

try that it may help.

your not doing anything wrong, i have the same issue... i was trying to call london all of last week and no luck, at first it was ringing for several times then i get a message the number cannot be reached now and you cant leave a message or something to that effect.

my MJ is on a t5710 256/512 i have no such problems with the memory my tc is on usually for weeks the only time i reboot is when i make some changes and need to commit.

how much free space do you have on your c drive and how much ram did you allocate from the ram disk manager.

also you need to follow the instructions few posts back about unzipping the files onto a flash drive and executing it from there as HolmanGT has stated.

i dont really remember exactly wat i did few days ago to install it on a 256/256.

however what i would suggest is to go to the control panel and ram disk manager increase to atleast 50. commit and try to install and see what happens

i was successful in installing dx9 on a t5700 256/256..

the reason i installed in the 256/256 was due to sound distortions which hasnt gone away even after the dx9 install howver i dont have any no audio found. but its still useless because the sound is static and distorted when i put the phone on ...

click on start right click on my computer/properties then it will tell you rom/ram .

that 16meg you are talking about goto your control panel click on ramdisk manager and increase your ram from 16 to say 24meg commit reboot.

that directx file does get corrupt sometimes it has happened to me also i ...

i dont understand your concern.. did you received any calls from africa soliciting you or any calls outside usa/canada.

calls are only free from usa/canada as far as Mj is concern everywhere else they have to pay.

unless its an MJ to MJ then as long as that person has broadband and there area code ...

am able to install that file it also says for me not enough space but i allocate more space with the ram disk utility in the control panel. but after that MJ installs and everything, gets the dial tone initially and i get that ping noise that you get when MJ is still in the process of booting up.

I have been trying to make an image of one of my 5700's to flash into another 5700 since one of them seems to work fine since the stupid upgrade and the other isnt, however the instructions that Vaham gave seems to be missing a file here is were i got stuck at..

i was able to install my MJ straight from the latest update i see no errors or asking for audio devices mayb they have fixed the issues.

the only thing i need help with now is how to takeout sygate from my thin client.

i have flashed a TC i just got t5700 256/256 but i cant seem to load MJ on it or it asks for the audio devices.. when i try to click on the earlier versions noting happens to oes into the splash screen and then closes out... no softphone or dial tones..


any ideas would be appreciated

now my problem is removing stuff mentioned in the instructions, after i install the first files for the media removal and try to run it, it says not enough space.. it apperas after everything i have about 13.3mg left on my flash drive.

lol funny and frustrating at the same time.

you can indeed access your voicemail from any phone if it is working that is, as i have said earlier the voicemail sys is not very reliable
dump it and get an answering system.

low power consumption, MJ softphone out of your face and from your main system... plus they are nice lil fast machine fairly cheap compared to a full functioning comp..

they can be up for weeks without the need to reboot, no moving parts what else..

MJ voicemail isnt the most reliable sys in the world i would suggest getting a phone with an answering system so you wont have to deal with there buggy VM service. thats what i do and i suspect many others on here..
