I'm perfectly happy with sticking with the MJ softphone, I just want to avoid the dongle.

Another Soft Phone?

I know there has been some threads about using the MJ service through different hardware, Old vonage box, etc, but I'm interested in using the MJ service purely as a softphone without the USB dongle. I Don't care about the analog phone port, I just need the softphone portion.

Any ideas?

What OS rev. are you running on your Mac? MJ should work just fine on on OSX. VirtualBox is a Virtual Machine program like VMware.

I got it working in Linux and was able to make/receive calls

Ubuntu Gutsy
Virtualbox 1.5.6

The session seemed to terminate when the ad section tried to refresh, but it was live for ~5 minutes.

Update: Bounced vbox and rebooted hardware. MJ was recognized again without issue. MJ is now up and running ...
