That sounds like a good plan to try next. Does the phone ring when you get an incoming call? Or do you need to be by the computer screen to see that the phone is ringing? Or do you even need a monitor hooked up for that kind of set up?

I had my internet connection checked this morning and they replaced some of the equipment and say that it is now testing perfectly. So I went back to the website that checks the voip connection and now it won't even connect to be tested! I do have a 2.4ghz phone but it is hooked up to the landline ...

Thanks. I saw that in another post and went through the test and we failed miserably(1). Just spent the last 30 minutes or so online chat with my comcast broadband troubleshooters too. They say my modem is showing "one or more alarms" whatever that is; so I'm going to shut it down again and try ...

I am having the same problem and would love for someone to make some suggestions. I have switched phones, switched computers, rebooted the router & modem, went through the MagicJack online checklist and am still getting a "pulse tone" type of in and out of the connection. Breaking up in a very ...
