Windows 2000 again...PLEASE
Some of us have been asking again and again...very little usable help has been offered...Please help. When us on Win 2000 plug in the MJ, it freezes up on the splash screen and does not load the software. An error msg. appears, "OS Not Supported", but when we run Magic Fix, it says 'system supported ...

Just like the others, I HAVE posted what happens in My WIN 2000 comp. The only answer was a very tech thing over all our heads. When you plug in the MJ to a Win 2000 comp, the software DOESNT LOAD...it stops at the splash screen, and u get a error message saying "OS not supported". You can go no ...

First of all, when the MJ fails to load, it doesnt leave any folders at all. it just stops downloading and erases everything it tried to load. Secondly, I am not tech savvy enough to even know what a hex file is, sorry. And the rest was waaaay over my head. patched bytes? MD-5 ??? Thanks for trying ...

its more complcated or easier than that...
When I run magick fix on my win 2000 comp, it says OS compatible with MJ. But when I plug the MJ into the comp, it hangs and stops during Splash screen, and I get error message, Magic Jack is not supported by your operating system.

mine, too..
Got my first magic jacks today..tried to initialize, got the same thing...Now my password wont work, even the one they remailed me...Magicfix says my OS is compatible..(Windows 2000sp4)..but when it finishes, says the OS is not supported, and stops downloading...I know others have made magickjack ...

MJ use on dial-up?
I just ordered 2 MJ's. I havent used one before, and the site FAQ section says that "calls from MJ to MJ MAY work on dial-ups"...I only have a dial-up, will this even work? or did I just waste my money? I use Net Zero...which I think only runs at 50K..
