I am getting that issue on and off as well. From what I can tell here and in the WIKI, it may have to do with overloaded servers. I elevated my MJ priority to HIGH and put in some static routes for the servers I wanted to exclude and for the time being (I think it last used SF) it is working.

I blocked Houston last night and now it seems to want to use New York. I am not convinced that will make a difference but I'll try it for a while. It is not to painful to do when connected to a router since I add a static routing rule. Seems a lot more painful and complex for my laptop when I travel.

It does not happen all the time. I just called my house twice and had no problems, for example.

I first tried the flip phone being sold on eBay (the one with battery an display) - worked for a small time and then stopped giving me dial tone. I found out here that the contacts go bad and you essentially have to throw it out. Don't get that one.
