Re: Here is what finally worked.....

I replaced the standard phone line going to the fax machine with a modular line cord (6-conductor). Send and receive both work flawlessly now. While I don't doubt your results, I find it hard to find the logic in this fix since the MJ itself is only a 2-conductor???
Can anyone come up with an ...

MJ servers not set to eastern daylight savings time

MJ servers not set to eastern daylight savings time

My phone system auto updates the time and date with each incoming call.

The phone system was not updating correctly since the change to EDST Sunday, so I updated manually.

BUT, the incoming calls keep setting my phone clock back 1 hour ...

Down again...
Sunday, I could make calls from my phone system.
Now it stopped accepting outbound calls from the phone system.
Dialing 1-area-number.
I've rebooted the PC system twice.
I've used the MJ fix/updater.
I can callout with the softphone.

OK, narrowed it down to...
It will dial out from a phone IF there is a area code with the number.
It won't dial out without an area code.
Even local calls.

It now requires all numbers start with 1.
I don't recall it ever doing that before.

Now I can't dial out with the phone.

In case some still don't understand the full ramifications, the little MagicJack USB device causes your PC to run a program in the background which inturn ...

Re: Buying Bulk MJ Units for Resale

Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I might be interested in buying a bulk quantity for resale. I see people doing this on ebay successfully and figured it's worth a shot. I read somewhere on here that there's a minimum quantity of 50, which is fine. Any info would be appreciated!

Just an X there now to x out of it, that is not really a problem though.
Same thing here.
The outgoing volume issue seems to have improved some.

Unfortunately, the problem solidifies when there are programmers with the same mentality.

If they can get the volume fixed we will buy a dozen more units.
As-is, it's not a reliable (volume) service for frequent callers.

Keeping in mind that MagicJack is a beta product, our expectations shouldn't be at their highest level.

The main issues I have are...

1) the microphone (output) volume control is flawed
The script that controls volume is locked at about 60%.
Nothing you do to change settings in the MagicJack ...
