I have had my MJ for more than a month, it has worked fine with few issues on my 6510b Laptop. Up till about 2 weeks ago. Now I cannot get my MJ to work on my Vista Laptop. I think it has something to do with the Vista updates and SP1 but even after uninstalling the updates it still will not work ...

Jester....I would now try to get a new from Magic Jack...should not be that troublesome..request a return authorozation...and send it back....!!!!..If they cannot get it to work for you they should supply you will a new one..If you have not paid for it yet with hold it from your credit card.....I ...

Instead of unplugging the MJ, 'Log Off' your account and then the PC/Laptop will hibernate.

When you power back on, you will have to double-click the MJ icon on the desktop to get it going.
Gary...you can pin MJ to your start-up menu....that way you will not have to start it every time you get on ...

Seems like you guys are making MJ harder than it needs to be.........I don't care where it lives..I don ;t care how to uninstall it.etc.etc....It works fine and has from the get go..I have a ST. Louis number and I live in Illinois and I don;t care if I ever get ported....I call all over the country ...

I also run Vista with SP!...but mine came with SP1 already installed...I did the update..and it registered and assigned me a new number and it has not missed a beat since,,,Works perfectly..
Not sure this would work ..but I would try uninstalling MJ and everything connected to it...even the device ...

YOU just don't pay for it!!!!!!!!! If you cannot get thru by phone to your card company...wait till you get the bill deduct that amount from your payment and put a note in it explaining the situation...They in turn will contact MJ....Too many people will not stand up for themselves ...

I got the new Dell Inspiron with Vista Home Premium version with SP1 ....Fortunetly the people I originally bought the Magic Jack from sent me a new one for the one that failed after reloading XP..Anyway that computer is gone...
I loaded the new Magicjack on the the new computer...after a few ...

Kumar...........They are sending me another one....Will try it on Vista SP1 ...I also see the Vista upgrade says to have it plugged in before hitting the upgrade button...After re-installing never would work on XP.....

Maybe it will work on the new Vista Premium Home SP1.....I do see some have had ...

I had the same problem....I acquired a Virus and had to re-install XP.....since then MJ will not work...and I have tried it all ...

Will try it on Vista next
