I'm in the U.S. - my brother is in Eastern Canada... Nova Scotia. I've called him a good number of times on his cell phone using my MJ without any problems at all. And I didn't need to use the * *

I have used the MJ with various methods -- all have been good.

I have cable at home and dsl at work. MJ works fineon both. The one at work has many people on the network - but it still works fine.

At home I have it plugged into a TC directly wired into my router -- no problem. Also if I use my ...

vixentd,

why not consider an Acer Aspire One with 120 gig HDD and XP Home. Very small, compact and perfect for traveling.

My MJ works perfect with it.

Hi,

My experience with TC thus far.

Will a T5700 hp work fine with just 256 flash/256 ram and windows XPe sp 2 with the magic jack software? *No planning on the flash upgrade*

I just planning to use the magic jack on this thin client computer and nothing more.

You are asking in regards to the ...

Hi,

glad to hear it works for you jw.. yes you can lower your ram disk manager back down after the install..

I guess the question I had was --- would the TC run better if the Ram Manager was set to a higher level (54)... or would this higher setting bring further problems down the road -- if it ...

Hi kulumbaa,
Thank you for your post. I've now got my t5710 up and running without any "no sound" dialogs.

I did what you suggested and set it to 54, but also needed to follow a few extra steps to get it working fully. Here's what I did:

1. Reset the ram disk manager to 54 and committed

Wow - this is quite a thread of information. Some of it can be confusing.

I just wanteda to get a clear idea of what would required to get my TC 5710 512/256 up and running. Perhaps HolmanGT can confirm this.

Hi,

That is great news... a working solution.

Question: Does anyone know how to install the DirectX update without having to upgrade the TC's memory? Or is a memory upgrade an essential need now.

I have a TC 512/256

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm new to all this and had a question.

With regards to the T5710 and the suggested modifications in this thread..... does the MJ not function properly with the stock Thin Client or do you need to make the various modifications in order for it to work properly?

Thank you in advance
