Caller mis-ID, 213 area code

For the past couple of days I've had something weird going on with both my MJ and Skype. Incoming calls usually are correctly caller-ID'd, but sometimes (maybe 20% of the time) are tagged as (213) 291-1900. I've tried Googling, etc. but haven't found any sort of definitive answer. Only seems to be ...

Re: New User Findings / Questions

I initially tried to install it on an (dedicated for MJ) old laptop, PIII, XP Sp3, 128MB, 646mhz. [...] Are there minimum hardware requirements I should be aware of.

I'm using a different PC now, but I had mine running for quite a while on a Pentium 2 with no problems. Detailed specs in this ...

Re: 3 Way Calling

Has anyone used 3 way calling lately? I tried it today and couldn't get it to work. Have they disabled this feature?

Don't know how far back you mean by "lately," but I did it yesterday around 5 PM ET to test whether a fix for another problem had worked. See this thread:

MJ site "area codes" page no longer lists cities??

I'm looking at this page -- http://www.magicjack.com/areacodes/ -- which used to have a list of area codes and cities , along with the status for each (available; pending; et cetera). Now the cities are gone from that page; it just says 502 is available; 606 will be available in 30 days; etc.

I've ...

Re: International Calling Rates ****Beware****

The international calling service is a rip off. It was advertised that calling Mexico City (Mobile) would cost .03 cents per minute. They actually charged us .30 cents per minute, the highest known calling rate for Mexico.

Where did this advertisement appear?

On the international dialing rates ...

I've got my MJ hanging off a spare PC, a dinosaur I had nothing better to do with -- Pentium 2 (that's not a typo) with 256 MB RAM running XP/SP2. Windows Task Manager shows it as taking about 25 MB memory, 20% to 50% CPU time (varies ...

There's certainly no requirement that a ...
